GYMPIE REGIONAL COUNCIL REVIEW OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT

The Minister responsible for Local Government has referred the matter of Gympie Regional Council having its councillors elected in divisions to the Change Commission for independent assessment.

The Commission invites written suggestions from interested persons and bodies relating to the council’s electoral arrangements, to be lodged on or before 5.00 pm Friday 2 September 2011.

A public meeting to assist with public input for this assessment is to be held as follows:
