GRC Category 5 Budget Staff Numbers.
In reference to article in Gympie Times p7 Dec 10th, concerning “GRC from a category 5 to a category 4, based on factors including population, Budget, Staff numbers, and Councillor numbers”.

All the Widgee Shire Staff used to fit into this building? some time ago but they did the same jobs.

Can we conclude that the reasons for the last four years of Doubling (galloping) Rates and charges, Expanding Budgets, Staff Offices Building Expansion, (for the Phantom increase in Staff) has not been not been driven by our Council with the aim to keep the GRC in category 5 so they all, (Councillors, CEO, Department Heads) do not miss out on their wages?

No wonder they are upset as Cr Larry Friske stated, “we did everything right and then we get a kick in the Guts.” Well since the the increases in Rates and increases in Staff (buildings) are the only actions that have happened. They must be what Cr Larry Friske is referring to, so maybe the kick in the guts was not big enough?

The North, another 3 mil to house a supposed 45 staff huddled in a built in carpark in the Mary St Building. They must have been hiding well as there was nothing like that when I was in there last. Maybe its the Phanton staff with Phantom wages.
